Laurel King joined Swope Design Group in 2019. As a LEED-accredited professional for Interior Design and Construction (LEED AP ID+C), Laurel brings several very useful skills to Swope Design Group, including Program and Parti Development, Space Planning, 3D Rendering, and Furniture and Interior Finish Selections.
Prior to joining Swope Design Group, Laurel was an interior designer with Ruetschle Architects in Dayton, Ohio. While there she gained valuable project experience in the design of Educational, Civic and Ecclesiastical environments. Laurel earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Thomas Jefferson University (formerly Philadelphia University) in 2013.
When asked what color she would be, Laurel said, "Blue. If we want to get technical and consider color psychology, I tend to have a calming presence. I also think I’m fairly adaptable to many situations. The color blue is so timeless and can easily mold to many projects and schemes."
