The Appriss project is a 100,000 SF commercial office interior renovation and fit-up that enabled an innovative and fast-moving company to relocate its’ 450 plus employees from multiple locations in Louisville, KY to one, employee-centric office space. A seasoned project team was assembled to design and build this custom and highly detailed space with the additional challenge of an extremely condensed schedule. The team included Kelley Construction, Swope Design Group, CBRE Real Estate, Cushman & Wakefield, Office Resources, Inc., Gearing Capital, as well as internal Appriss employees to coordinate and communicate with the work force every step of the way. This collaborative approach was crucial in making the transition a smooth and exciting experience for all.
While the office environment was designed to provide the workforce of technology and data science experts productive and efficient work areas including workstations for resident and remote workers and a variety of meeting and training rooms; many spaces were also created with team building, employee retention and well-being in mind. These spaces include Coffee Bars on each floor for departmental gatherings; individual phone rooms for private conversations; a Café where employees may dine together or hold casual meetings; a game room for employees to build friendships and unwind in between deadlines; dedicated lactation rooms for new mothers and a Wellness Center for employees and their families. Since moving into the new headquarters, Appriss has found that employees that used to work from home, now prefer to come into the office.
