Description
The University of Louisville’s stunning new Student Recreation Center is designed to support one of its core mission objectives: to recruit and retain the best students. The facility features six new gyms, a Multi-Purpose Court, fitness and weight space, aerobics and wellness studios, a jogging track, four racquetball courts, a sport club, fitness lab, PE classrooms, locker rooms, administration offices, healthy food spaces and support spaces. The project is targeted for LEED Gold status.

Swope Design Group worked with the project architects and the university to create a set of bold environmental graphics and wayfinding signage that would stimulate an energetic vibe in support of an active environment.

“The students love it, and so do we!” - Michael Mardis, PH.D, Dean of Students
